Going into the London derby, Tottenham are the only unbeaten team in the Premier League this season after Arsenal fell to Newcastle. Coach Ange Postecoglou's team is determined to win to reclaim the top spot from Man City.

With home advantage, Spurs quickly attacked after the opening whistle. In the 6th minute, they got what they needed with a goal from Dejan Kulusevski in the penalty area. The former Juventus star's shot hit defender Levi Colwill and changed direction, leaving goalkeeper Robert Sanchez helpless.

From here, the match became exciting with an unbelievable scenario. In the 11th minute, Chelsea had a golden opportunity to equalize when Nicolas Jackson skillfully eliminated two Tottenham players in the 16m50 box. However, his final kick could not beat goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Chelsea were awarded a penalty, and young midfielder Cole Palmer made no mistake in converting it to level the game at the 35th minute. Just two minutes later, Chelsea once again scored against Tottenham but it was ruled out for offside.

With the advantage in numbers, Chelsea proactively pushed up their attacking formation in the second half. In the 54th minute, Tottenham had only 9 men left on the field when Destiny Udogie fouled Sterling, receiving a second yellow card, which meant a red card.

At this point, Spurs could only defend against Chelsea's continuous attacks. The home team pushed their defense high to trap The Blues offside, but in the end they could not hold out. In the 75th minute, Sterling broke the offside trap before passing the ball across for Jackson to easily tap the ball into Tottenham's net, raising the score to 2-1.

Just 3 minutes later, Eric Dier decisively kicked the top of Tottenham's net in the penalty area but the goal was disallowed for offside. In the remaining time, Spurs tried to fight back strongly but having to play with 2 fewer players made them completely helpless. They even had to concede 2 more goals in injury time, with Jackson scoring twice.

In the end, Tottenham lost 1-4 to Chelsea at home in the latest match of round 11 of the 2023/24 Premier League. Thus, Spurs' unbeaten streak was broken and they officially lost the top spot to Man City. Tottenham is currently in 2nd place with 26 points, 1 point behind Man City.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are in 10th place with 15 points, 9 points behind the Top 4. In round 12 of the Premier League, Tottenham will visit Wolves, while Chelsea will host Man City.
