A two-story house in Hoan Kiem district caught fire, killing one person this morning.
At around 6am, a fire broke out on the first floor of a two-story house with an attic in lane 95 Bach Dang, Chuong Duong ward. The fire then spread throughout the house, and smoke covered the entire area.
Hoan Kiem District Police dispatched 3 fire trucks and many officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.
After about 35 minutes, the fire was controlled and did not spread to the surrounding area.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found a 24-year-old man, the homeowner’s son, trapped inside. He was taken to the hospital but later died.
A day earlier, another fire broke out in Dai Xuyen commune, Phu Xuyen district, killing two people.
