Cam Giang District People's Committee has just launched the repair and dredging of 20 main irrigation canals.
This year, Cam Giang district is doing winter-spring irrigation with a total volume of renovation and dredging of 86,800 m3.
The district prioritizes dredging canals, water intake gates, and pumping station sumps to proactively regulate irrigation water. The focus is on dredging and repairing 20 main irrigation canals with a total volume of 48,825 m³.
These are mainly canal sections that have not been repaired or dredged for many years.
Launched simultaneously on November 15, by the afternoon of November 19, construction units had dredged over 12,000 m3 of main and drainage canals, reaching nearly 25% of the plan. The district plans to finish winter-spring irrigation work before December 31, 2023 to proactively bring water into the water storage canal to prepare for flooding.
