Cam Giang strives to upgrade Lai Cach town to a type IV urban area before 2025.

At the 2nd Session held on December 16 and 17, the People's Council of Cam Giang district approved many contents, including the Resolution on adjusting the construction planning of Cam Giang district to 2030, with a vision to 2050.

The 2nd session of the People's Council of Cam Giang district, term XX, agreed to adjust, supplement and plan many new routes.

According to the resolution, the district strives to upgrade Lai Cach town to a type IV urban area before 2025. Upgrade 5-7 communes with conditions to develop into type V urban areas from now until 2030; in the period 2031-2050, continue to upgrade about 3 more communes with conditions to develop into type V urban areas, focusing on building infrastructure for the district to meet the criteria of type IV urban areas.

The locality develops according to economic pillars of high-tech industry, supporting industry, clean industry, multi-industry industry, combined with Binh Giang and Thanh Mien districts to become the dynamic industrial zone in the west of the province; modern smart urban area, high-quality commercial services; high-tech agriculture. The district orients the development of space into 4 main areas: administrative center, culture, commercial services, public works system (Cam Giang town area and Lai Cach town); urban and service development area; industrial development area and concentrated agricultural area, high-quality agriculture...

The district adjusted, supplemented and planned many new routes; abolished the approved centralized wastewater treatment area planning; proposed to adjust the location of centralized waste treatment areas in each area...
