Lai Cach Industrial Park still has nearly 35 hectares in Nghia village that have not been cleared.
The Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee has just assigned Cam Giang District People's Committee to review the conditions and grounds for land recovery; if eligible, organize the implementation of land recovery procedures, inventory, prepare compensation, support and resettlement plans to clear the remaining 34.9 hectares of land of Lai Cach Industrial Park project according to regulations.
Dai Duong Company Limited (infrastructure investor) coordinates with Cam Giang District People's Committee and relevant agencies and units to carry out procedures for land recovery, compensation, and site clearance of the remaining land area of the project according to regulations. Assign the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to monitor, urge, guide, and inspect the implementation.
The Lai Cach Industrial Park project was approved in principle by the Prime Minister in 2008. In May 2008, the Provincial People's Committee decided to establish Lai Cach Industrial Park and approved the detailed construction plan. According to the detailed construction plan adjusted in Decision No. 1236/QD-UBND dated May 20, 2014, the total adjusted area of phase 1 is more than 135 hectares.
Up to now, Lai Cach Industrial Park project has approved 29 compensation and support plans (without the cleared area in Nghia village, Lai Cach town). The Department of Natural Resources and Environment has coordinated to organize the handover of 100.4 hectares of land in the field to Dai Duong Company Limited. For the area of 34.9 hectares in Nghia village, Lai Cach town, the implementation of site clearance has encountered many difficulties, the scope of site clearance has problems with moving graves and cemeteries, so the People's Committee of Cam Giang district has not completed the site clearance.
