After three days of meetings on the Italian island of Capri, the G7 Foreign Ministers' Conference concluded on April 19 with a joint statement addressing a series of current hot issues.
The joint statement stressed that the G7 will continue its efforts to prevent tensions between Israel and Iran from escalating and to end the current conflict.
The G7 also said it was ready to impose additional sanctions on Iran after Tehran carried out an attack on Israel last weekend.
Regarding the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the G7 said it will continue to look for ways to use frozen Russian state assets to support Ukraine.
Western countries are currently freezing about $300 billion in Russian state assets.
Along with that, G7 foreign ministers pledged to strengthen Ukraine's air defense capabilities.
At the meeting, the foreign ministers also discussed stability in the Indo-Pacific region, along with other issues such as infrastructure connectivity, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and the fight against fake news.
