During the Hung Kings' death anniversary and April 30-May 1 holidays this year, Da Nang City and Binh Thuan Province organized many programs and events to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for residents and tourists.

In Da Nang, there is a program to open the 2023 beach tourism season with more than 20 rich and unique cultural, sports and tourism festival activities, stretching along the coastal routes of the city and Son Tra peninsula. Tourist areas and spots in the city have deployed many new tourism products to serve visitors.

On the first day of the holiday (morning of April 29), Da Nang's beaches attracted thousands of locals and tourists to visit, have fun and relax. At Man Thai beach, many tourists choose SUP rowing to gently relax on the sea and watch the sunrise early in the morning; or participate in jogging and swimming here. The areas displaying art models, the culinary festival space, traditional craft villages, and the kite-flying festival area on the beach also attract a large number of visitors to visit, have fun, take photos...

On the morning of April 29, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches also organized the opening ceremony of the inland waterway tourism route CT15-Hon Sup-Bai Nam-Bai Da with 3 canoes (36 seats/cano) in operation in the sea area of ​​Son Tra Peninsula.

Mr. Phan Minh Hai, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, said that by early May 2023, 2 more yachts and 2 canoes will have completed procedures to be put into operation to serve people and tourists to experience sea and island tourism products.

“Putting this waterway tourism route into operation is the basis for forming and building unique waterway tourism products here, connecting the forest-sea tour program with many experiential tourism activities, promoting environmental protection of the sea and islands for people and tourists,” Mr. Phan Minh Hai emphasized.

Coming to the Paragliding Competition "Flying over the Silver Sea" for the first time, I had the opportunity to experience paragliding without an engine from the top of Son Tra mountain at an altitude of 600m down to Tho Quang beach, Son Tra district; sharing the feeling of flying in the sky, Mr. Huynh Duc Trung from Da Nang had to exclaim that "the scenery of mountains, forests and sea in Da Nang is so beautiful."

Ms. Le Thi Bich Huong, Director of Communications & Marketing of Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, said that on April 29, the resort welcomed more than 3,000 tourists to visit and have fun.

On the occasion of the holiday, the tourist area organizes the "Quang Da Folk Culture Festival" for 5 days (from April 29 to May 2). Visitors will enjoy performances of Bai Choi singing, lion and dragon dances, making to he figurines, magic and balloon art, etc., experience folk games, and dance with the Co Tu people.

Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area on the first day of the holiday also attracted a large number of tourists because it has prepared many new attractive products and services to serve tourists during the holiday such as Happy Songkran-Thailand Festival, B'estival Food and Beer Festival, "Sun and Moon Dance" shows, street art performances of juggling, stilts, magic by 150 international artists continuously from 10am to 4pm every day. The tourist area launched a preferential program to experience the Ba Na By Night night party combo, serving all days of the week at night from 3pm to 10pm for tourists to choose from.

Before the holiday, Da Nang City also organized many programs such as the Opening of the Cultural-Sports Festival and the Restoration of the Traditional Festival of the Co Tu People in 2023 taking place in Hoa Bac Commune (April 27); Opening of the 2023 Beach Tourism Season (April 28); Opening of Nam O Snack Street located on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Lien Chieu District with more than 50 food carts donated to local people (worth 500 million VND) sponsored by Trung Thuy Group, the investor of Nam O Eco-tourism Area under the program to support the conversion of local community occupations.... These programs and activities have attracted a large number of people and tourists to visit, have fun and shop.

According to Da Nang International Airport, from April 28 to May 4, there are expected to be 672 flights landing in Da Nang city, with more than 87,000 passengers; on average, there are 44 international flights and 68 domestic flights landing each day.

Da Nang International Airport has coordinated with Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company to establish a Steering Committee for peak service, and at the same time develop a plan to ensure security and safety and improve service quality.

In Binh Thuan, on the afternoon of April 29, the first day of the April 30 and May 1 holidays, the central beaches of Phan Thiet city attracted a large number of people and tourists swimming.

The motorbike parking lots near the beach are almost overloaded.

At Doi Duong beach (Phan Thiet city), due to the large number of tourists and residents, the ward militia force was mobilized to look after vehicles and ensure security along the coastal road. In addition to the parking lots at hotels and Doi Duong parking lots, parking lots in neighboring areas such as the Political School, Binh Thuan College, etc. were also opened to serve the needs of tourists during the holidays.

Ms. Dao Thi Ngoc Thuy, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said that the holiday lasted 5 days, so she and her family of 4 went by private car to Phan Thiet beach to swim. At this time, she felt very comfortable traveling to the beach, escaping the hot and humid weather, and immersing herself in the clear blue sea. There were many tourists coming here, and in general, the security situation, environmental sanitation and service prices were stable.

Doi Duong Beach (Phan Thiet City) is crowded with locals and tourists on the first day of the holiday.

According to the Management Board of Doi Duong-Thuong Chanh Tourist Area, people and tourists come here mainly to swim in the sea. To ensure security and order, the Management Board uses a loudspeaker system to remind people and tourists to ensure safety when swimming in the sea, especially to watch over children. The Management Board's staff and security forces also regularly remind people to maintain hygiene and not to litter on the beach.

Not only at Doi Duong beach, during this holiday, tourism activities, hotels, and motels in Mui Ne and Tien Thanh commune, Phan Thiet city are also more bustling, mainly tourists traveling with families. At NovaWorld Phan Thiet (Tien Thanh commune), on the afternoon of April 29, thousands of people and tourists gathered at the beach and entertainment areas to take photos and swim.

Ms. Tran Dao Anh (from Binh Duong province) said that she and a group of 10 friends traveled by motorbike to Phan Thiet for tourism. She had seen many pictures posted on social networks about this new tourist destination but only got to visit it today. This place is very beautiful, the sea is very clear and clean.

The event of Dau Giay-Phan Thiet Expressway (connecting with Ho Chi Minh City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway) officially inaugurated and put into operation on the morning of April 29, along with a series of exciting activities throughout the National Tourism Year 2023, has made Binh Thuan's tourism industry more vibrant than ever.

It is forecasted that there will be about 160,000 visitors (double that of 2022) visiting and traveling in Phan Thiet-Binh Thuan during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year.

It is noted that resorts and hotels in the Phan Thiet-Mui Ne area are all fully booked. At NovaWorld Phan Thiet Urban Area, two resorts that have come into operation, Movenpick Resort Phan Thiet and Radisson Resort Phan Thiet, are 100% full during the holidays. Villas at NovaWorld Phan Thiet have also been reserved by guests more than 1 month before the holiday.

According to the Binh Thuan Tourism Promotion Information Center, in the first 4 months of 2023, Binh Thuan welcomed more than 2.8 million visitors, an increase of 2 times over the same period last year, of which international visitors accounted for about 94,700 (an increase of 6.6 times over the same period). Revenue from tourism activities was more than VND 7,260 billion, an increase of 2.6 times over the same period in 2022.
