At the same time, 2 electronic driving licenses and 9 physical driving licenses of the drivers were temporarily detained. The Traffic Police Department, Da Nang City Police also requested the business and the drivers to commit not to repeat the offense.
Previously, on March 16, a clip was circulated on social media platforms recording 8 vehicles including 7 luxury cars and 1 three-wheeled motorbike showing signs of traffic violations.
This supercar convoy departed from Da Nang International Airport, traveling through Nguyen Van Linh Street, when reaching the intersection with Phan Chau Trinh Street, the green traffic light turned red, although other vehicles slowed down and stopped, this supercar convoy still followed each other through the red light, making witnesses indignant.
When the clip of the violation of the supercar fleet was posted on social networks, many people wanted the authorities to intervene and handle it strictly.
After investigating, the authorities discovered that there were 3 more vehicles in the convoy that violated the law. Specifically, there were 11 vehicles in the incident, including 8 cars and 3 motorbikes.
The above mentioned fleet of supercars violating traffic safety order was identified as owned and managed by Mr. HKK and his wife, who are the owners of a company specializing in the field of beauty care.
On the afternoon of March 17, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Van Thuong, Head of the Traffic Police Department, Da Nang City Police, chaired a meeting with Mr. HKK, the representative of the business owner, and all the drivers operating the above vehicles.
After being explained and having evidence of the violation, Mr. HKK admitted to the violation of the driver when he did not obey the traffic light signal and ran a red light.
Mr. HKK sent a sincere apology to all the city's residents for having to witness the ugly actions; at the same time, he pledged not to let similar incidents happen in the future.
Through the incident, Da Nang City Police thanked and appreciated the people's timely feedback and information provision, helping the traffic police force to better ensure traffic order and safety in the area.
