Singer Tung Duong honors Vietnamese women with new music product

On the afternoon of June 17, in Hanoi, male singer Tung Duong released a music video (MV) called “Phoenix Wings” as a special gift to honor Vietnamese women.

The song was composed by singer-songwriter Mars Anh Tú (Tu Dua) ​​3 years ago, with lyrics describing the image of a beautiful woman, walking leisurely in life, with a hidden spiritual strength to overcome all storms.

Next is a spectacular "twist" with the appearance of rapper Double 2T (Bui Xuan Truong) with a rap telling the story originating from the legendary history of Vietnam with Mother Au Co; going through many historical ups and downs with examples of heroic and indomitable female generals, heroic Vietnamese mothers "who bore all the pain for the Fatherland," to women in modern society today.

Singer Tung Duong invited 5 famous women who have won the hearts of the public to participate in this music product. They are People's Artist Le Khanh, People's Artist Thanh Lam, Meritorious Artist - "peacock of the dance village" Linh Nga, Miss Ha Kieu Anh and Wushu athlete Thuy Hien, who won the Gold Medal at the World Wushu Championship in 1993 at the age of 14.

“Vietnamese music divo” Tung Duong said “Canh chim phoenix” is an impressive opening for his very own new musical journey, constantly conquering new heights, dedicating music to everyone with all his dedication.

To make this product, the two directors Nguyen Truong Kien (Zodiac II) and Nguyen Huu Hoang sought inspiration from Vietnamese cultural and historical materials through many periods, selecting many symbolic images.

Director Nguyen Truong Kien wants to bring a completely new peak image to music products, especially with the genre using a lot of VFX/CGI techniques when most people think that Vietnam cannot do this well. With 8 scenes, 114 shots with 100% advanced techniques; 95% of the shots are green screen (green background to process image superimposition techniques). The crew took up to 5 months to complete post-production with many special features appearing for the first time in a music product in Vietnam.

“Phoenix Wings” opens up a “musical universe” combining legendary elements with images typical of Vietnamese history and culture. In particular, the image of Vietnamese women is honored with a legendary, sublime beauty along with the image of a phoenix flying brilliantly.

This MV is also a fulcrum for the male singer to continue carrying out major music projects, including the album "Multiverse," a personal live show in November 2024 with many new and bold ideas, expanding the "phoenix universe."
