First prize in the 2024 'For a peaceful life' composition contest in Hai Duong Literature and Arts Magazine belongs to the song 'White cranes' by author Kim Hoan.
On the morning of January 7, Hai Duong Literature and Arts Association held an award ceremony for the 2024 Literature and Arts Composition Contest with the theme "For a Peaceful Life" in Hai Duong Literature and Arts Magazine.
This is the 5th time the Provincial Literature and Arts Association has coordinated with the Provincial Police to organize this contest.
Within a year of launching the contest, the organizing committee received 152 works from 84 authors who are artists and journalists in the province, an increase of 117 works and 57 authors compared to the 2023 contest. The number of literary works is more diverse and rich. Many elderly authors still actively participate...
Through their works, whether factual or fictional, the authors highlight the lives, struggles, silent sacrifices, bravery, and intelligence of the People's Public Security officers and soldiers, and the masses on all fronts to protect national security and ensure social order and safety.
As a result, the organizing committee awarded 8 prizes, including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 3 consolation prizes to the authors. Of which, the song "Nhung Canh Cau Trang" by author Kim Hoan won first prize.
On this occasion, at the 2024 association's work summary program, Hai Duong Literature and Arts Association received a certificate of merit from the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations for its outstanding achievements in literary and artistic activities in 2024.
The provincial National Assembly delegation presented Tet gifts to 17 members of the provincial Literature and Arts Association who are veterans and people with revolutionary contributions.

2 second prizes include: the song "Song of the heroic offline soldier" by author Hoang Thanh and the short story "Phi diep no hoa" by author Nguyen Thu Hang.
2 third prizes include: the signature "Gratitude at the origin of the revolution" by author Pham Chuc and the oil painting "Dawn of island soldiers" by author Nguyen Quang Hoan.
3 consolation prizes include: the poem “Afternoon Rain Melody” by Khanh Ly; the essay “Following the Flying Flag to Live” by Trung Thu and a series of 3 propaganda paintings and silk paintings by Thu Mai.
