After a period of identifying the child, the authorities determined that the child abandoned near the sewer was the son of the Military Commander of Son Tay commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province.
On February 19, the authorities identified the baby abandoned by the sewer in Tan Thuy village (Son Tay commune) on January 11 as the daughter of Mr. NTH and his wife - the military commander of this commune. "After testing the baby's DNA sample, the results determined that the girl was Mr. H's biological daughter. Mr. H. explained to his superiors that he did not know his wife was pregnant until the incident happened."
It is known that Son Tay commune and Huong Son district are currently coordinating to clarify and will consider the level and behavior of the Military Commander of this commune related to the case of the abandoned baby.
Earlier, on the morning of January 11, people in Son Tay commune discovered a baby girl weighing 2.1 kg, without clothes, covered in mud, abandoned next to a local drainage ditch.
Upon receiving the news, the Son Tay commune authorities completed the necessary procedures and took the child to the Son Tay commune health station for care. At the same time, they issued a notice to find the abandoned child's relatives.
