Arrested 10 subjects related to football betting line

According to initial investigation, at the end of July 2023, the police force monitored and discovered a number of subjects showing signs of organizing large-scale gambling and online gambling, operating in inter-provincial areas.

During the investigation, the police identified Dang Dinh Phu (39 years old, residing in Hoa Hiep Nam ward, Lien Chieu district, Da Nang) and Duong Thi My Hanh (38 years old, residing in Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang) as the two suspects leading the betting ring.

On September 12, the Criminal Police Department coordinated with professional units to deploy 5 working groups to simultaneously arrest Dang Dinh Phu, Duong Thi My Hanh and 8 other subjects in this ring including: Ngo Van An (44 years old), Pham Tan Thai (29 years old), Le Anh Vy (43 years old), Nguyen The Cong (39 years old), Nguyen Thanh Hai (45 years old), Thai Van Dung (55 years old, all residing in Hoa Vang district), Ngo Tran Tu Duc (34 years old) and Nguyen Quoc Thang (38 years old, all residing in Tien Ky town, Tien Phuoc district, Quang Nam province).

At the investigation agency, the group initially confessed that Phu was the leader of the betting ring, organizing many people to participate on the betting website bong88.xx, and Duong Thi My Hanh was Phu's direct "agent".

Phu and Hanh operated an inter-provincial gambling ring, with gamblers spread across many districts in Da Nang and Quang Nam province.

According to police statistics, from the end of July 2023 until now, this line has organized hundreds of participants, with a total gambling amount of about more than 8.3 billion VND.

Along with the arrest of the subjects, the investigation agency also seized many related exhibits, documents and evidence.
