Soccer betting gang with 50 billion VND/month and prostitution brokerage

On May 13, the Criminal Police Department, Ha Nam Provincial Police announced that it had just initiated a criminal case and prosecuted 6 suspects, including: Do Manh Chuc (born in 1983; residing in Dai Xuyen commune, Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi); Ngo Van Hiep, Nguyen Van Diep, Vu An, Nguyen Van Tuan (residing in Chau Can commune, Phu Xuyen district) and Nguyen Van Binh (residing in Duy Tien town, Ha Nam province) for the crimes of "Organizing gambling" and "Gambling" in the form of football betting.

According to Ha Nam Provincial Police, in this case, Do Manh Chuc was identified as the leader of the "Organizing Gambling" and "Gambling" ring. Chuc confessed to using his mobile phone and personal computer to access the football betting website "agbong88.com" with the login account "1188882" to bet and play lottery numbers.

Then, Chuc divided the accounts, football pages and provided login passwords to the subjects participating in betting, playing lottery numbers.

Every Monday, "close the bet" and pay the winnings or losses in cash or by bank transfer.

Based on the collected investigation documents, Ha Nam Provincial Police determined that from the beginning of 2023 until the time of arrest, the subjects had participated in football betting with an amount of 50 billion VND/month.

In addition to prosecuting the above crimes, the Investigation Police Agency of Ha Nam Province Police is currently continuing to expand the investigation to prosecute the above subjects and other related people for the crimes of "Prostitution Brokerage" and "Lending at high interest rates in civil transactions".
