The Vietnamese Sports Delegation won another Bronze medal on the 10th official competition day of the 2023 Asian Games (Asian Games - ASIAD 1) in Hangzhou (China).
The only Bronze medal on October 3 of the Vietnamese delegation belonged to martial artist Luu Diem Quynh.
Diem Quynh won the Bronze medal after failing to defeat home player Li Qian, who was the 2018 world champion and 2019 Asian champion.
With this achievement, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation won a total of 18 medals, including 1 Gold medal, 3 Silver medals and 14 Bronze medals, ranking 20th on the 19th ASIAD medal tally.
However, the performance of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation will certainly improve on the competition day of October 4 when the Vietnamese Women's Sepak Takraw Team enters the final match to compete for the Gold medal.
The Vietnamese Sports Delegation can hope in Cycling when Nguyen Thi That officially competes. The Asian champion will compete in the Women's 139.7km mass start event.
In Athletics, the girls Hoang Thi Anh Thuc, Hoang Thi Minh Hanh, Nguyen Thi Hang, Nguyen Thi Huyen, Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha will also compete in the Women's 4x400m relay race.
On the 19th ASIAD medal tally, the Chinese Sports Delegation is about to reach the 300-medal mark. China is currently ranked number 1 with 161 Gold medals, 90 Silver medals and 46 Bronze medals.
The Japanese Sports Delegation ranked second with 33 Gold medals, 47 Silver medals and 50 Bronze medals.
The Korean sports delegation ranked right after Japan with 32 gold medals, 42 silver medals and 65 bronze medals.
