According to the Master's degree training regulations issued with Circular No. 15/2014/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training, the master's degree training period lasts from 1 to 3 years, depending on the type of study.
Specifically, for majors and majors at university level with a training period of 5 years or more and accumulated knowledge of 150 credits or more, the study period will be at least 1 academic year (corresponding to a minimum of 30 credits).
As for majors and majors at university level with training time of less than 5 years and accumulated knowledge volume of 120 to less than 150 credits, training must be from 1 to 1.5 years (corresponding to a minimum of 45 - 60 credits).
Based on the entry requirements and regulations on training programs, the head of the training institution shall specify the training period and the extension of the training period in accordance with each training sector and major. The extended training period shall not exceed two years compared to the standard training period specified above.
