Issuing a Plan to implement the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence

According to the Decision, the Plan for implementing the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence is issued with the aim of specifically defining the content of work, deadline, progress of completion and responsibilities of relevant agencies and organizations in organizing the implementation of the Law to ensure consistency, unity, effectiveness and efficiency.

The requirement is to ensure unified direction from the Government and the Prime Minister; close, regular and effective coordination between ministries, ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies, People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities and relevant agencies and organizations in implementing the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence.

Organize the review of legal documents

The plan clearly states the specific work contents. Accordingly, ministries, branches and localities organize the review of legal documents: Review legal documents related to the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence under the assigned State management authority; implement according to authority or propose competent agencies to promptly amend, supplement, replace, abolish or issue new legal documents to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence and documents detailing a number of articles of the Law. This task must be completed by December 2024.

In addition, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate the development of a Decree detailing a number of articles of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence (the Government issued Decree No. 76/2023/ND-CP dated November 1, 2023); develop a Decree regulating the Database on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence. The deadline for submission is October 15, 2024.

Propaganda, dissemination and education of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Public Security, the Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam Television, Vietnam News Agency and other press, radio and television agencies to post and update the full text of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence and documents detailing a number of articles of the Law on the Electronic Information Portal/Page, the National Database of Legal Documents and other appropriate forms for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and people to easily access, exploit and use.

Deploy appropriate forms of legal dissemination; compile, post, widely distribute dissemination documents and coordinate with the Ministry of Justice to update on the National Legal Education and Dissemination Portal http://pbgdpl.gov.vn.
