According to the decision of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Decision 447 of the Prime Minister on the announcement of the Covid-19 epidemic issued on April 1, 2020 expires.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 1269 of the Prime Minister abolishing a number of documents on Covid-19 prevention and control issued by the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control and the Prime Minister.

The decision clearly states that Decision No. 447 dated April 1, 2020 of the Prime Minister on the announcement of the Covid-19 epidemic is abolished.

Also in Decision No. 1269, the Prime Minister decided to abolish 20 Decisions of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

Specifically, Decision No. 42 dated February 18, 2020 on promulgating the Response Plan for each level of acute respiratory disease caused by the new strain of Corona virus.

Decision No. 478 dated February 20, 2020 on strengthening the rapid response mobile teams to combat the acute respiratory disease caused by the Corona virus 2019; Decision No. 929 dated March 17, 2020 approving the list of members of the anti-epidemic subcommittees under the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control...

At the same time, the Prime Minister abolished 13 Official Dispatches of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

Specifically, Official Dispatch No. 855 dated February 24, 2020 of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control implements centralized quarantine for people returning from Covid-19 epidemic areas.

Official dispatch No. 953 dated February 28, 2020 on strengthening the implementation of measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic; Official dispatch No. 1269 dated March 14, 2020 on strengthening the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; Official dispatch No. 1651 dated March 27, 2020 on online reporting at cdc.kcb.vn on the situation of admission, isolation, testing, treatment and recording of Covid-19 patients at medical examination and treatment facilities...

The Prime Minister also abolished four dispatches of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

Including, Official Dispatch No. 1898 dated April 6, 2020 on continuing to strengthen prevention and control of Covid-19 infection in medical examination and treatment facilities; Official Dispatch No. 1224 dated August 4, 2020 on strengthening prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic for the High School Graduation Exam.

Telegram No. 1158 dated July 27, 2020 on urgently promoting measures to prevent and control Covid-19 infection in medical examination and treatment facilities; Telegram No. 628 dated May 10, 2021 on urgently implementing social distancing and increasing testing at hospitals under the Ministry of Health, universities and end-line hospitals.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also decided to abolish 8 Prime Minister's Directives.

In particular, Directive No. 05 dated January 28, 2020 on the prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of Corona virus; Directive No. 06 dated January 31, 2020 on strengthening preventive measures against new complicated developments of acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of Corona virus...

In addition, 3 Decisions of the Prime Minister were also abolished.

Specifically, Decision No. 447 dated April 1, 2020 on announcing the Covid-19 epidemic; Decision No. 1857 dated October 14, 2020 on ordering the provision of SARS-CoV-2 testing services; Decision No. 1438 dated August 25, 2021 on strengthening the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

Previously, on April 1, 2020, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 447 on declaring the Covid-19 epidemic.

Accordingly, the Covid-19 epidemic occurred from January 23, 2020 (the time when the first case of acute respiratory infection caused by the new strain of Corona virus was identified). The location and scale of the epidemic were nationwide, caused by the new strain of Corona virus.

The decision also clearly states that the nature and level of danger of this epidemic is in group A, the risk is at the level of a global pandemic and is transmitted through the respiratory tract from person to person.

The decision provides measures to prevent and control the epidemic: Establish a National Steering Committee for epidemic prevention and control; declare and warn of epidemics; organize emergency care, medical examination and treatment, organize medical isolation; clean, disinfect and sterilize in epidemic areas; personal protection measures; control entry and exit to epidemic areas; mobilize and requisition resources for epidemic prevention activities...

The Prime Minister requested medical examination and treatment facilities to receive, isolate, monitor and treat infected people.

The decision signed by the Prime Minister also requires ministries, ministerial-level agencies, provinces, medical facilities, organizations and individuals to comply with epidemic prevention requirements and instructions of the Politburo, Government and Prime Minister.
