Bac Ninh brings traditional art into tourist attractions

The implementation of the plan aims to raise awareness of the work of preserving and promoting the values ​​of the fine traditional cultural heritage of the nation in general and Bac Ninh in particular, especially the cultural heritages at risk of fading away. This activity also creates a "playground" and "performance ground" for heritage holders, artisans, and clubs to have the opportunity to practice traditional folk art forms such as: singing Chau Van, Ca Tru, Tuong, Cheo, Trong Quan... to have many opportunities to practice and perform, thereby promptly encouraging, promoting, and recognizing the efforts to contribute to preserving and promoting the values ​​of the nation's cultural heritage. Thereby, contributing to improving the spiritual and cultural life of people in localities and establishments, associated with stimulating tourism, improving the quality of destinations such as relics and tourist attractions in the province; improving the quality of the image of Bac Ninh as a cultured and developed province; Facilitate the formation of connections between groups and clubs of traditional folk art forms with relic sites, promote connections with travel agencies, and awaken tourist demand.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Con, Head of Tourism Management Department, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province, said that the implementation of organizing performances of traditional folk art forms at a number of tourist attractions serving people and tourists will be carried out by Bac Ninh province in 2024 - 2025 with main activities such as: Organizing traditional folk art performance festivals of Bac Ninh province; organizing traditional folk art performances in the walking street in the annual Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk song singing program on boats; organizing traditional folk art performances at a number of typical festivals and relic sites, tourist attractions that are often crowded with visitors...

Accordingly, Bac Ninh will organize festivals at Kinh Duong Vuong Temple and Tomb, But Thap Pagoda, Dau Pagoda (Thuan Thanh Town); Do Temple (Tu Son City); Ba Chua Kho Temple (Bac Ninh City); Phat Tich Pagoda (Tien Du District); Cao Lo Vuong Temple (Gia Binh District...). The province will organize traditional folk art performances at some historical sites and tourist attractions that are often crowded during the first 3 months of Spring in 2024 and 2025.

In order to effectively implement the work, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province directed specialized units to organize training, professional guidance, and performance skills for the performing force of traditional folk art forms according to the selection list of the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities. In addition, the Department increased propaganda and promotion of traditional folk art forms; announced the schedule and content of activities to provinces, cities, and travel agencies nationwide so that tourists have information about the specific performance schedule. Every year, the Department organizes an assessment and reports on the implementation results of the Plan to have appropriate and effective instructions and adjustments.

Traditional art performance venues upgrade facilities, security and order, performance spaces, and develop rich program content to offer attractive tourism products, create impressions and attract tourists, retain tourists longer, thereby contributing to the development of the province's tourism industry.
