The missiles were shipped ahead of the recent decision by the US and UK to allow Ukraine to launch long-range missiles at targets inside Russian territory.
Bloomberg reported that a few weeks ago, Britain delivered dozens of Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine - the first move since Prime Minister Keir Starmer took office.
“The UK government has recently delivered dozens of additional Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine… This is the first delivery under Prime Minister Keir Starmer,” the source said. The deliveries were not made public; they were made weeks ago – after Kiev’s supply of long-range artillery shells ran out.
“They (missiles) were delivered before the recent decision by the US and UK to allow Ukraine to launch long-range missiles at targets inside Russian territory,” the article said, but did not specify the exact number and date the missiles were delivered to Ukraine.
Also related to the war in Ukraine, speaking after a meeting with his Polish, Italian and German counterparts, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu revealed that 2,300 Ukrainian soldiers from the Anna Kievshaya armed group trained by France have returned to Ukraine to join the fight. He stated that France is ready to continue training the Ukrainian army and pointed out the need to increase the capacity to train such brigades.
