69 works awarded the 2023 Literature and Arts Prize

According to the Organizing Committee, the Literature and Arts Award of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations is an annual award, which has now completed 30 seasons.

The Award Council has selected works with the best quality in terms of content and art, while still ensuring and respecting the nature of gathering teams, discovering and nurturing young forces through each award ceremony.

The Organizing Committee said that in 2023, the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations Award Council presented 9 awards to outstanding works introduced by Central Specialized Literature and Arts Associations.

For the Awards for works by authors who are members, the Awards Council received 372 works from authors and groups of authors from 58/63 Literature and Arts Associations of provinces and cities.

The Award Council selected and awarded 60 prizes to authors and works from 35 provincial and municipal Literature and Arts Associations. The awarded works were in the fields of literature, theater, fine arts, music, cinema, photography, dance, and folk arts.

Of which, there are 4 A prizes, 14 B prizes, 19 C prizes, 18 Encouragement prizes and 5 prizes for young authors.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations Do Hong Quan said: The 2023 Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations Award has selected outstanding works of the year. These works have been published, exhibited or announced, performed, recognized by the public and mentioned in the press.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Do Hong Quan, this award objectively reflects the literary and artistic works of authors who are members of the Provincial and Municipal Literature and Arts Associations that still maintain and follow traditional trends.

Young authors have explored and innovated in their expressions, but the content and themes still closely follow life, aiming at the traditional beauty and morality of the nation, demonstrating the maturity and strong development of creative activities, theoretical research, and collection of artists in all fields in the whole central bloc as well as in provinces and cities.

The works that entered and won the awards show that the passion and talent of artists are still constantly blossoming and improving, in which the team of young authors, female authors, and authors from ethnic minorities have revealed valuable potential that needs to be cultivated to continue to blossom and bear brilliant fruit, Associate Professor, Dr. Do Hong Quan emphasized.
