53% of working-age people in Hai Duong participate in social insurance

By the end of October 2024, Hai Duong had 447,596 people participating in social insurance (an increase of about 7,600 compared to June 2024), reaching a coverage rate of about 53% of people of working age, exceeding the province's 2024 plan by 3% and about 10% higher than the national average rate.

Among the social insurance participants in Hai Duong mentioned above, 392,503 people participate in compulsory social insurance, the remaining 55,093 people participate in voluntary social insurance.

To achieve the above results, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Provincial Social Insurance have actively coordinated with localities and related units to require enterprises and employers to fully participate in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance for employees, and strictly comply with the provisions of the law.

In the first 10 months of 2024, the Social Insurance agency conducted specialized inspections of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance payments according to plan at 150 employers; inspected the implementation of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance payments and settlement at 40 employers; inspected the implementation of health insurance policies at 14 health insurance medical examination and treatment facilities; conducted surprise specialized inspections and checks at 44 employers...
