By the morning of October 18, the chickenpox outbreak at Le Loi Kindergarten (Gia Loc, Hai Duong) had recorded 10 children infected with the disease.
The leader of Le Loi Kindergarten said the first case appeared on October 14. That was patient D.PT (a 4-year-old student in grade C). The patient went to the doctor and was diagnosed with chickenpox, and stayed home for treatment. T. has not been vaccinated against this disease.
As of October 18, the chickenpox outbreak at the school had recorded 10 cases, all of whom were 4-year-old students in class C. All of these students stayed home from school to receive treatment.
As soon as the first case appeared, Le Loi Kindergarten coordinated with the local health sector to clean and disinfect the entire campus and classrooms; proactively coordinated to disseminate measures to prevent chickenpox to staff, teachers, employees, and parents. The school recommends that parents proactively monitor their children's health at home; if they see any unusual symptoms, they should immediately take their children to medical facilities for timely examination, diagnosis, and treatment.
Le Loi Kindergarten has strengthened environmental sanitation to prevent epidemics, such as cleaning classroom floors four times a day; arranging additional hand sanitizer and soap in hand washing sinks in classrooms and restrooms. Students use their own cups, mugs, and towels, which are thoroughly boiled before and after use...
