Build a plan to take care of Tet for workers

In his closing speech, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that there is not much time left until the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the workload is very large, and requested the Sub-Committees to focus on preparing and organizing the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union well.

For the provincial and municipal Labor Federations, Central Industry Trade Unions, and General Corporation Trade Unions under the General Confederation, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor needs to focus on developing and immediately promulgating an Action Program to implement the Resolution of his/her level with specific contents, tasks, and solutions, suitable for each locality and facility, creating a positive spread among all levels of trade unions, among union members, workers, and the whole society. Promote communication work on the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, creating an exciting atmosphere among union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers.

In addition, accelerate the completion of the key targets and tasks identified in the 2023 work program and the annual activity theme on "Developing union members and establishing grassroots unions". Based on the theme and orientation of key tasks in 2024, proactively develop an implementation plan.

Trade unions at all levels focus on developing plans to effectively implement activities to take care of the 2024 Lunar New Year for union members and workers with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet".

The Trade Union is interested in guiding and supporting union members and employees whose working hours have been reduced or whose labor contracts have been terminated due to the reduction of orders by enterprises according to Conclusion No. 02/KL-DCT of the Presidium of the General Confederation of Labor; proactively grasping the situation of labor relations, employment, wages and bonuses, especially during the time of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union and the Lunar New Year; advising and proposing to competent authorities to resolve difficulties and concerns of employees, especially in the context that enterprises are forecast to continue to face many difficulties.

In addition, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor directed trade unions at all levels to continue to promote the implementation of the Action Program of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, Resolution 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation".

At the same time, trade unions at all levels coordinate to inspect and supervise the implementation of labor laws and policies for workers; on social insurance; food safety and hygiene, the quality of mid-shift meals, and occupational safety and hygiene; promote the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level; participate in ensuring sustainable employment and improving income for civil servants, public employees, union members, and workers.

In addition, the union needs to organize well the work of collecting union finances according to plan; minimize the loss of union funds; manage closely, spend economically, and serve well the activities of the union organization...
