Verifying clip of car running 210km/h on My Thuan - Can Tho highway

On the afternoon of January 4, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 7 (Department 8, Traffic Police Department) said that the unit is verifying a clip that is said to have recorded a driver driving a car on the My Thuan - Can Tho highway at a speed of 210km/h.

Previously, on social network TikTok, a clip of more than 5 minutes long was circulated, recording a driver driving a car, allegedly on the My Thuan - Can Tho expressway at a very high speed, sometimes up to 210km/h. The driver drove the car at night, passing many vehicles traveling in the same direction.

Immediately after the above clip was spread on social networks, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 7 conducted verification to handle the incident according to regulations.

My Thuan – Can Tho Expressway and My Thuan 2 Bridge were inaugurated on December 24, 2023, passing through Vinh Long and Dong Thap provinces; starting point in Tan Hoa ward, Vinh Long city, connecting with My Thuan 2 bridge; ending point in Binh Minh town, connecting with National Highway 1.

According to the My Thuan Project Management Board (investor of the My Thuan - Can Tho expressway project), the maximum speed on this expressway is 90km/h and the minimum is 60km/h.
