Vietnam women's football team at risk of losing top position in Southeast Asia

According to the FIFA rankings for women's football, the Vietnamese team dropped 3 places to 37th in the world. After the 2023 World Cup, the team will play 6 international matches.

However, the Vietnamese team only won against weak teams like Nepal, Bangladesh and India, while losing to Uzbekistan and twice to Japan.

Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team were deducted 11.65 points and have 1,611.3 points left. Meanwhile, the Philippines team rose 6 places to 38th in the world. This team won 4 matches and lost 3. They were awarded 30.75 points for a total of 1,571.64 points.

With a score not too far away, the Philippines team threatens the No. 1 position in Southeast Asia of the Vietnam team. This is the position that Huynh Nhu and her teammates have maintained since July 2019 when they surpassed the Thai team. This means that the Vietnamese women's team has been ranked first in Southeast Asia for more than 4 years.
