Winter crop in the "capital" of carrots

These days, farmers in Duc Chinh commune (Cam Giang) - the "capital" of carrots in Hai Duong are focusing on planting the main crop.

Duc Chinh has about 360 hectares of concentrated carrot cultivation, mainly on the land outside the riverbank. This is considered the “capital” of carrots in Hai Duong with large carrot fields and factories serving the processing and export of carrots.

The entire carrot area here is produced according to VietGAP standards, ensuring export standards to many markets such as Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia... and some countries in the Middle East.

So far, farmers in Duc Chinh commune have planted over 80% of the concentrated carrot area. It is expected that by the end of October, the entire carrot area will be planted.

Farmers sow seeds with hand-held machines

After sowing, farmers carefully patch up the seeds, ensuring the rows of carrots grow evenly.
