VinFast VF 3 is priced from 235 million VND

On May 7, VinFast announced the selling price from 240 million VND without battery rental for the SUV-style electric car, VF 3. If purchased with the battery, the price is 322 million VND, so the battery pack costs 82 million VND.

The company accepts deposits from May 13, especially during the three days of May 13-15, VinFast VF 3 applies preferential prices of 235 million and 315 million for two versions, free to choose colors in the advanced color package. After this time, if customers choose the advanced color, the car price will be 8 million VND higher. Customers who want to choose a custom color according to their preferences will have to pay an additional 15 million VND.

With VF 3, customers can choose to rent the battery monthly at a cost of 900,000 VND for a distance of less than 1,500 km or 1.2 million VND for a distance of 1,500-2,500 km. The final option is 2 million VND/month for a distance of over 2,500 km.

This is VinFast's smallest product, assembled domestically, helping to complete the high-chassis product line that already includes VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8 and VF 9.

Compared to its predecessors with the same smooth, neutral design language, the 3-block VinFast VF is much more masculine. This design is not the first time it has appeared on the automobile market, but in the past two years it has become a trend that many car manufacturers have followed.

The overall dimensions of the VF 3 are 3,190 x 1,679 x 1,622 mm in length x width x height, with a wheelbase of 2,075 mm. VinFast's model is in the same segment as the Wuling Mini EV, or the Baojun Yep, which is expected to be brought to Vietnam by TMT in 2024. The VF 3 has 16-inch wheels and a ground clearance of 191 mm.

Compared to the Wuling Mini EV with similar dimensions (2,920 x 1,493 x 1,621 mm, wheelbase 1,940 mm), the VF 3 is slightly better in all parameters. The VF 3 is smaller than the A-class gasoline hatchback Kia Morning (3,595 x 1,595 x 1,495 mm, wheelbase 2,400 mm).

In terms of interior, VinFast VF 3 is similar to its predecessors when it eliminates most of the physical buttons. The steering wheel is simple, the 10-inch touch screen entertainment screen in the center of the dashboard is where the car's features are controlled.

VinFast VF 3 has a motor on the rear axle, with a capacity of 43 horsepower and a torque of 110 Nm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 5.3 seconds. The battery capacity is 18.64 kWh, providing a range of 210 km. It takes about 36 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 70%.

In terms of engine performance and operating range, the VF 3 is significantly better than the Chinese model, the Wuling Mini EV. The price is also higher. The Mini EV costs 239-279 million VND. The price of the VF 3 is also more accessible than the cheapest gasoline-powered models on the market such as the Kia Morning (369-439 million VND), Hyundai i10 (360-455 million VND).

With a modest range of about 200 km, VF 3 is aimed at customers who mainly need to travel within the city instead of going far. The car can be the second vehicle of the family, serving basic needs such as walking around town, going to the market, picking up children.
