On December 24, 2024, the authorities inspected and discovered that Thinh Phat PT Production and Trading Company Limited (Pham Tran Commune) and Mr. Nguyen Van Tue in Cay Village (Doan Thuong Commune) discharged wastewater containing normal parameters exceeding technical standards on waste into the environment.
Thinh Phat PT Production and Trading Company Limited, which specializes in manufacturing plastic products, discharged wastewater with a BOD5 parameter of 325.2 mg/l, 6.504 times higher than the standard QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT; COD was 711.5 mg/l, 4.743 times higher. The company was fined 65 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tue was fined 72 million VND because his livestock facility had parameters of Coliforms 3.5 x 105 MPN/100 ml, 70 times higher than the standard; BOD5 487.2 mg/l, 4.872 times higher; total suspended solids 291 mg/l, 1.94 times higher; total N 687.8, 4.58 times higher.
Thinh Phat PT Production and Trading Company Limited and Mr. Nguyen Van Tue must take measures to remedy the environmental pollution and report the results of the remediation of the violations within 30 days.
