The Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee has decided to fine Clark Material Handling Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Phuc Dien commune, Cam Giang) 485 million VND for environmental violations.
Of which, a fine of 320 million VND was imposed for production and business activities at the Clark Material Handling Vietnam Project in Phuc Dien Commune (formerly Cam Phuc) without an environmental license issued by the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee as prescribed.
This project is also subject to suspension of operations of waste sources without environmental permits for a period of 135 days from the effective date of this decision.
The company was fined VND150 million for discharging wastewater with a pH of 3.65, below the lower limit of the technical standard on waste (the lower limit of the technical standard on waste is 5.5) with a wastewater flow of 9.5 m3/day and night.
The enterprise was also fined VND15 million for not submitting the 2022 environmental protection work report to competent state agencies as prescribed.
In addition, the company also has to pay the Department of Natural Resources and Environment more than 4.6 million VND for measuring and analyzing environmental samples (the inspection team of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment took wastewater samples of the above project on October 21, 2024).
Clark Material Handling Vietnam Co., Ltd. operates mainly in the field of manufacturing lifting, lowering and loading equipment.
