Yejin F&G Vina Co., Ltd. in Tu Ky was fined 140 million VND for environmental violations.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has signed a decision to fine Yejin F&G Vina Co., Ltd. in Quang Phuc town, Quang Phuc commune (Tu Ky) VND 140 million for environmental violations. This company discharged wastewater with 3 parameters exceeding the technical standards on permitted waste with a wastewater flow of 15 m³/day (24 hours). Specifically, the Coliform parameter exceeded 9.2 times, the total Nitrogen parameter exceeded 1.65 times and the total P parameter exceeded 1.54 times the technical standards for waste.

In addition, Yejin F&G Vina Co., Ltd. is forced to pay more than VND 5.3 million for environmental sample measurement and analysis costs to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment according to current standards and unit prices.

Yejin F&G Vina Co., Ltd. was granted a business registration certificate by the Business Registration Office (Department of Planning and Investment) in October 2012. This enterprise specializes in manufacturing and processing garments for export.

According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, at the end of August 2023, the Department issued Decision No. 353/QDSTNMT dated August 29, 2023 to establish an inspection team to inspect the compliance with environmental protection regulations for a number of establishments in the province, including Yejin F&G Vina Co., Ltd. On September 29, 2023, the authorities took wastewater samples at the company. On January 16, 2024, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment worked with Yejin F&G Vina Co., Ltd. to notify the inspection results and review related contents. Through the work and analysis of wastewater samples, it was determined that Yejin F&G Vina Co., Ltd. had violated environmental protection regulations.
