Ukrainian UAV attacks Russia's Kursk region, 5 dead

Five people were killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia's Kursk region.

According to RT, the above information was announced by Kursk Governor Aleksey Smirnov on June 29.

Specifically, Mr. Smirnov wrote on Telegram that a UAV dropped an explosive device on a residential building in the village of Gorodische, near the border with Ukraine, during the night.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of five lives, including two young children,” he said, adding that two other members of the same family were hospitalized in critical condition.

On June 29, the Russian Defense Ministry said it had intercepted at least six attempts by Ukraine to use UAVs to attack Russian territory in just one night.

According to the statement, Russian air defense forces destroyed two UAVs in the Tver Region, one in the Bryansk Region, one in the Belgorod Region and two in Crimea.
