Currently, the rate of female cadres participating in Party committees at all three levels in Hai Duong province has increased compared to the 2015-2020 term.
Specifically, the rate of female cadres participating in the provincial Party Committee reached 15.4%, an increase of 0.9%; the district Party Committee reached 19%, an increase of 6.7%; the grassroots level reached 20.23%, an increase of 4.62%.
The above information is stated in Report No. 359-BC/TU dated September 8, 2023 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the 5-year review of the implementation of Directive No. 21-CT/TW dated January 20, 2018 of the Secretariat (12th tenure) on continuing to promote women's work in the new situation.
According to the report, at the provincial level, there is 1 person participating in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and 10 people participating in the District Party Committee Standing Committee. The proportion of female deputies to the 15th National Assembly accounts for 33% (3 out of 9 people). The proportion of female deputies to People's Councils at all levels in the province has also increased substantially compared to the previous term.
In recent times, the Standing Committee of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee has paid attention to leading and directing Party committees at all levels, authorities, agencies and units in the province to include gender equality and women's work targets in programs and plans to implement tasks. The province has paid attention to building a contingent of cadres, including female and young cadres; completing regulations on cadre work, ensuring the principle of equality between men and women in terms of age in planning, rotation, training, appointment and introduction of cadres. The contingent of female cadres continues to increase in quantity, improve in quality and become increasingly younger.
