From September 14, the Hanoi - Hai Phong route will resume normal operation, with 4 pairs of trains running from Hanoi station (or Long Bien station) to Hai Phong station and vice versa every day.
On September 14 and 15, although it was a weekend, the number of passengers arriving at and departing from Hai Duong station reached about 250-350 passengers/day, equivalent to a normal day and only 50-70% compared to other weekends.
Previously, on September 10, due to the high and rapid flow of the Red River, to ensure the safety of passengers, Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company did not run trains across Long Bien Bridge, the Hanoi - Hai Phong train changed its schedule, Gia Lam station was the departure and end station of the journey. On September 12, Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company announced the suspension of some trains on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route.
On September 13, the Hanoi Department of Transport announced the restoration of traffic organization plans on Long Bien Bridge and Duong Bridge in Hanoi.
Also on September 13, Vietnam Railways Corporation inspected, evaluated and set up a train to test the Long Bien bridge system. Through inspection and evaluation, Long Bien bridge ensured safety for trains to pass through.
