Being present at Battalion 2, Infantry Regiment 125 during the "Political and Cultural Activities Day", we clearly felt the effectiveness and significance of training "soft skills" for soldiers.

The battalion soldiers focused on listening and observing the commander's lectures on the military environment, communication skills, and how to behave with teammates in the unit. The soldiers were able to express their personal opinions through answering situational questions. Private Do Nam Truong, a soldier of Platoon 1, Company 1, Battalion 2, shared: "When I joined the unit, doing each task at a time trained me to have a disciplined lifestyle, and equipping me with skills helped me communicate more confidently. Now I feel much more mature than before I joined the army."

Major Nguyen Trung Hieu, Deputy Political Commissar of Battalion 2, Infantry Regiment 125, said that the unit identifies ideological work as an important factor that determines the quality and results of training and practice for soldiers. Therefore, equipping new soldiers with "soft skills" has been a focus of the 125th Regiment since the first days of enlistment. "These are skills in participating in activities of the Youth Union and youth movements, collective activities, communication, behavior, solving situations in life, taking care of personal health, protecting the environment... Through that, it helps soldiers to ease their homesickness, quickly integrate into the military environment, and love and be more attached to the unit," said Major Nguyen Trung Hieu.

The Party Committee and Command of the 125th Infantry Regiment selected experienced cadres, assigned the task of grasping the ideology, guiding and equipping life skills for new soldiers through many good ways. Equipping skills for new soldiers was carefully prepared, combining outlines with the use of images and documentaries. Propaganda content combined with organizing cultural and artistic activities created a joyful and comfortable atmosphere. From equipping "soft skills", the squads selected talented nuclei to establish groups, groups, cultural and artistic clubs, sports clubs... The unit promoted well the capacity and strengths of new soldiers who used to be local Youth Union cadres and soldiers with university and college degrees...

Soft skills training for new soldiers is carried out in a systematic manner, associated with the "3 together" model (eating, living, working together); the "2 before, 2 after" model (waking up first, working first and going home later, sleeping later) to connect and educate soldiers to strictly comply with the law and discipline.

According to the Provincial Military Command, thanks to being equipped with necessary soft skills, new soldiers have raised their awareness of strictly following military style, always being united, attached, considering the unit as home, and comrades as brothers.
