On the morning of September 18, at Kiep Bac Temple, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Dong Xu - Hai Duong Antiquities Association organized the opening of a thematic exhibition: "Cultural heritage of the Tran Dynasty on Hai Duong land" with nearly 200 artifacts, documents and images.
The exhibition includes two themes. Theme 1: “Hai Duong in the Yen Tu relic and landscape complex submitted to UNESCO for recognition as a world heritage site”. Theme 2: “Typical antiquities of the Tran Dynasty and archaeological discoveries of the 13th-14th centuries”.
The artifacts, documents, and images are selected, scientifically arranged, and provide an overview of historical and cultural relics, locations of archaeological discovery and excavation of typical artifacts and artifacts of the Tran Dynasty in Hai Duong. Thereby, helping people and tourists better understand the land and people of Hai Duong, the typical cultural heritages of the Tran Dynasty that still exist, affirming the important position of the ancient Eastern land - Hai Duong today in the historical process of the nation.
The event aims to innovate the content and diversify the activities at the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival in 2024. Promote the propaganda and promotion of outstanding global cultural heritage values, the authenticity of the Con Son - Kiep Bac special national relic site, Thanh Mai Pagoda (Chi Linh City), An Phu - Kinh Chu - Nham Duong relic complex (Kinh Mon) in the system of relics nominated for world cultural heritage. At the same time, arouse pride and raise the sense of responsibility of officials and people in preserving, protecting and promoting the values of traditional cultural heritage.
The exhibition will be open to the public and visitors from September 18-22 (ie from August 16-20 of the lunar calendar).
Hai Duong is a land with a rich history and culture, where many political, military and cultural events are recorded; many unique tangible and intangible cultural heritages of all time. Up to now, Hai Duong still preserves and maintains 3,199 historical and cultural relics, more than 800 traditional festivals, hundreds of traditional occupations... In particular, with 129 historical, cultural and artistic relics and 26/50 archaeological sites discovered and excavated related to the Tran Dynasty - the cultural heritage of the Tran Dynasty in Hai Duong has become an important part of the cultural identity of the ancient Dong and Hai Duong today.
