Two new electric car models, bZ3X and bZ3C, have just been introduced by Toyota in China, 1 year after the concept version was revealed.
Recently, Toyota brought to the 2024 Beijing Auto Show a pair of new products bZ3X and bZ3C. The two electric SUVs were revealed by the Japanese automaker in April last year as concepts, called bZ FlexSpace and bZ Sport Crossover, respectively.
The production version unveiled in Beijing follows the concept closely, with the bZ3C being a coupe-SUV with a low-slung roofline.
The car has a design language quite similar to its seniors bZ4X and Prius. The most notable point on the car is the fishhook-shaped LED daytime running lights and the extended taillights with a similar design.
In terms of interior, the bZ3C's cabin is designed quite minimalistically. The most prominent feature is the giant central infotainment screen in the middle of the dashboard.
The bZ3X, meanwhile, has a more traditional SUV look. However, the front end is more edgy with slim headlights and a closed grille. It also has a more upright roof than the bZ3C, along with stylish one-piece LED taillights.
Due to its larger size than the bZ3C, the interior of the bZ3X is also more spacious. The revealed equipment includes a large central screen, a two-spoke steering wheel, a digital clock and two wireless charging shelves. In addition, the car also has a panoramic sunroof.
According to Chinese media, the bZ3X and bZ3C were developed in collaboration with BYD, FAW and the Toyota Intelligent ElectroMobility R&D Center. However, Toyota is still keeping the detailed specifications and prices of both new SUVs under wraps.
