The program "The Words He Left Behind" is an emotional journey, taking viewers back to the historic moments of 1965, when beloved Uncle Ho began the first lines of the "top secret" document.
On the evening of August 30, at Ba Dinh Square, the Central Propaganda Department and Vietnam Television jointly organized a special political and artistic program with the theme "His Last Words", commemorating the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament and the 55th anniversary of his death (September 2, 1969 - September 2, 2024).
General Secretary and President To Lam attended the program. Also attending were Politburo members: Phan Dinh Trac, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Commission; Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.
Also attending were Party Central Committee Secretaries Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office and Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army. Also attending were Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh; Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; leaders of departments, ministries, branches, organizations, central and local agencies, and international friends.
Before passing away, beloved President Ho Chi Minh left the entire Party and people a sacred Testament, which was also the last handwriting in which he expressed his wishes, will, beliefs and responsibilities to the entire Party and people. The Testament is the crystallization of moral, cultural and noble emotional values, the mark of an outstanding intellect, a passionate heart, of a patriot, a great leader and an outstanding communist soldier.
Over the past 55 years, our entire Party, people and army have been steadfast and loyal to the revolutionary ideals, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral and ideological example, and implementing his sacred Testament.

55 years have passed since Uncle Ho passed away, but his ideology, morality and sacred Testament have always accompanied, illuminated and guided our entire Party, people and army to steadfastly and excellently continue the great revolutionary cause to which he devoted his whole life; determined to carry the flag of President Ho Chi Minh to the final victory.
Uncle Ho's Testament, with its timeless value, not only influences generations of young Vietnamese today but will forever be a source of inspiration for generations of young people to study and follow the moral example, ideology and style of Ho Chi Minh.
After 55 years of implementing his will and nearly 40 years of carrying out the renovation process, under the leadership of the Party, our people have built our country "increasingly more prosperous and beautiful" as he wished.
Continuing to persevere on the path to socialism as instructed in President Ho Chi Minh's Testament, the 14th National Party Congress is an important milestone, with a meaningful orientation for the future; continuing to comprehensively and synchronously promote the renovation process, firmly defending the Fatherland; striving for the goal that by 2030, the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, our country will be a developing country with modern industry and high average income, and by 2045, the 100th anniversary of the country's founding, Vietnam will become a developed country with high income.
In 90 minutes, the program consists of two chapters, recalling history while affirming the core values and important contributions of Uncle Ho's Testament to the great victory of the Vietnamese revolution over the past half century. The program is also a harmonious combination of seriously invested reports and outstanding artistic performances.
