The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: The week "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" will take place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi) from November 22 to 26.
This is an annual activity to contribute to preserving and promoting the tradition of great national unity; honoring the cultural heritage of Vietnamese ethnic groups; enhancing practical cultural, sports and tourism exchanges to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the Traditional Day - Founding Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2023) and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
At the same time, the event honors the spirit of national solidarity, a precious tradition and cultural heritage of our nation, forged through thousands of years of building and defending the country; spreading and promoting national cultural identity, preserving, promoting and honoring the cultural identity of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups. Thereby, compatriots and the public increase their understanding, inheritance and cultural practice to preserve and promote the value of traditional cultural heritage of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
The opening program of the Week of "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" and the 2nd Festival of Pole Performance, Cultural Exchange, Sports and Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, 2023 will take place on the evening of November 23.
During the Neu Tree Performance Day, many attractive activities took place from November 22 to 26 to exchange culture, sports and tourism of Vietnamese ethnic groups. These were the Mass Arts Festival; performance of ethnic costumes; introduction of excerpts of festivals, traditional cultural rituals of local ethnic groups associated with the Neu tree. Along with that, there was an exhibition introducing and promoting local traditional culture; processing and introducing cuisine; exhibition "Cultural characteristics of Vietnamese ethnic groups".
Localities will introduce to the public the colors of heritage through spaces introducing culture, festivals, and tourism. The Nung ethnic group in Bac Kan province will reenact the cap sac put ceremony (put hotpot); Sli singing - a national intangible cultural heritage recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Muong ethnic group in Thanh Hoa province will reenact the Poon Poong Festival (flower festival), introduce the beauty of Muong costumes and some cultural features of performances, cuisine, and folk games.
Also within the framework of the Week of "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage", the Cultural Exchange Festival of Ethnic Groups of the Southwest, Central Highlands, and Northwest will take place with folk song, dance, and folk games of ethnic groups, introduction of cuisine, traditional crafts and arts of the Khmer ethnic group, tourism products, local specialties, etc.
The photo exhibition “Colors of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups” will introduce 160 photographic works about 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups. This is an activity to implement activities in the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in 2023...
