On July 16, the Center for Friendship Cooperation (Hai Duong Province Union of Friendship Organizations) in collaboration with COPION Organization (Korea) inaugurated and handed over friendship houses to poor households in Tu Ky district.
The four families that received support to build houses are Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nha (Tien Dong commune), Dong Thi Thuy (Quang Trung commune), Nguyen Thi Bot (Ngoc Ky commune) and Nguyen Thi Theu (Hung Dao commune). These are all families with special housing difficulties in the localities.
The 4 friendship houses have an area of 35-40 m². The construction cost of each house is 220 million VND, sponsored by the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) through the COPION Organization.
On the same day, COPION and the Industrial Bank of Korea supported the construction of a 58.7m² toilet, roofed with heat-insulating corrugated iron, and installed sanitary equipment; provided IT room equipment including 20 computers, 2 air conditioners, 20 tables, 40 chairs; installed a pure water filtration system for Hung Dao Primary School; and awarded 10 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND) to 10 poor students who overcame difficulties of the school. The total amount of support for Hung Dao Primary School is 770 million VND.
The total value of the projects that COPION Organization sponsored for Tu Ky district is 1.65 billion VND.
On July 17, the Korean COPION Organization continued to donate 3 friendship houses to poor households in Cam Giang district and inaugurated a school toilet project for Lai Cach Primary School.
The project "Supporting housing construction for poor households in Tu Ky and Cam Giang districts" funded by the COPION Organization (Korea) with non-refundable aid was approved by the Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee on May 10.
