The first "Happy Family - Strong Union" contest was held and left many impressions on participating families and audiences.

For the first time participating in the contest, the family members of Mr. Dao Xuan Mao (Hai Duong City Trade Union) were very excited and happy. When receiving the plan to participate in the contest, his family immediately started practicing. Both he and his wife are teachers, so staging the skits and performances for the contest was not too difficult. The most difficult thing for the couple was how to get all 4 family members to perform movements and gestures in harmony. Therefore, while teaching and studying during the day, Mr. Mao's family practiced in the evening. The atmosphere in the house was noisier than usual, with more laughter and talking. The interesting thing about the contest was that there were no ready-made questions or answers. The organizers gave very real situations, close to daily life, so that both adults and children could answer. The good news was that his children cooperated very well with their parents to perform well in each part of the contest.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Anh (Thanh Ha Union), when being selected to participate in the contest, the family members were very happy, especially her children. In 2022, her daughter participated in the game show "Lovely Family" organized by Hai Duong Radio and Television Station and was familiar with the format of major contests. Therefore, this time the family was very excited to stand on the same stage and perform together the acts that their family had created. Ms. Kieu Anh said that in order for her children to perform well on stage, she spent a lot of time instructing them in the evenings. Her eldest child is 12 years old and her youngest is 7 years old. "The children really like the contest and catch up with their parents very quickly. We have tried to bring to the contest special and impressive acts to multiply the value of love for families," said Ms. Kieu Anh.

The 2024 “Happy Family - Strong Union” contest has 11 participating families. These are typical families selected by the grassroots Union at the higher level.

New playground

According to the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor, the contest "Happy Family - Strong Union" aims to create a healthy and useful playground for families of civil servants, public employees, and workers in the whole province to meet, exchange, and share experiences in building happy families. Thereby, discovering new models, good ways to support families to develop sustainably, contributing to the effective implementation of the Vietnam Family Development Strategy in Hai Duong province until 2030.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, Vice President of the Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation and Head of the Organizing Committee, the contest was a great success and brought many meanings and messages to multiply the value of family happiness. In early July, the Provincial Labor Federation will continue to organize a seminar and talk on the topic "Building a prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized family of civil servants, public employees and workers" in the new situation. The trade union organization hopes that at the seminars and contests, union members will discuss the reality of life, share stories about mothers and wives in caring for and educating their children. Along with that, union levels show their concern for families through activities to care for the material and spiritual life and build the happiness of union members. "Only when the family is happy will union members and workers spend time and enthusiasm for union activities and build a stronger union organization," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh.

The contest “Happy Family - Strong Union” was organized with rich content. The questions and situations were very close to daily life. The activities at the contest were also practical and close to life to create appeal for families, attracting a large number of union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers to cheer. Mr. Nguyen Van Truong, representative of the families that won first prize at the contest, said that this is a new playground to help enrich the spiritual life of union members and workers, spreading the traditional cultural values ​​of Vietnamese families. At the contest, family members have the opportunity to understand each other better and share the secret to maintaining family happiness.
