Through the storm and flood, I heard my mother and teacher tell many touching stories about the love that people in Hai Duong city have for each other.

I was born and raised in Hai Duong City - a young city on the rise. The beautiful, rustic, peaceful images of Hai Duong City have been associated with my childhood years. There are no banyan trees, wells, communal houses, and cool green rice fields... but Hai Duong City in my eyes always has very special marks.

Every day on the way to school, crossing the main streets, my friends and I get to see many high-rise buildings springing up. The big and small roads are all renovated, decorated, and given new colors. We are proud and feel relaxed every time we walk under the cool green canopy, listening to the gentle wind blending with the vibrant, bustling rhythm of the crowd. More than anywhere else, in the heart of that bustling city, Bach Dang Park - the green lung, a beautiful flower basket and a place that attracts tourists because of its rustic beauty and inherent peace. Here, trees and grass are always cared for and trimmed beautifully. The colors of flowers fill the peaceful atmosphere.

Looking at the vast space of the city, I feel extremely happy. Sometimes the mist is hazy, this place is as real as a dream. The whole city is gentle, with the faint scent of milk flowers and a bit of mischief in the morning sunlight. All of it has remained in my heart like a slow-motion film, then shines on the pink pages of the notebook and the innocent drawings.

To me, the city is always full of love like that.

Yet in the past few days, super typhoon No. 3 - Yagi made landfall, causing heavy damage to several provinces and cities in the North, including Hai Duong. After the storm, everything was devastated. On the roads, everywhere you could see trees uprooted and falling, roofs and corrugated iron roofs blown away by the wind, signs falling and breaking. By the river, in the garden, banana trunks were broken, causing young banana bunches to fall... It was truly heartbreaking to see.

After the storm, the continuous heavy rains caused the water level to rise. Some houses were flooded, disrupting their lives and activities. To ensure safety, some places temporarily stopped sending students to school. We had just started the new school year but had to temporarily leave behind the familiar drum sounds and the warm lectures of our teachers... Despite the difficulties, in the midst of the storm and flood, I heard my mother and teacher tell many touching stories that brought tears to my eyes about the love that people in the city have for each other, and they were also willing to share with people in the highlands that were heavily affected by the storm and flood.

More than ever, the uniforms of the police and military have become a solid support for people in the fight against natural disasters. They have been working day and night, wading through strong winds and deep waters, not afraid of hardships and dangers, entering the eye of storms and floods to protect people's safety, lives and property.

This year, to share with the areas buried by landslides, the children who are suffering from the loss of loved ones, houses, and schools submerged in mud and water, many places have temporarily stopped organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival. I think it is an activity that should be done because our nation has the tradition of "when one horse is sick, the whole stable stops eating".

With observations and experiences, along with her lectures that integrate content about the impact of storms and floods, I understand more deeply the tears, hardships, and losses that people are suffering due to natural disasters. I believe that Hai Duong, along with the entire North, will gradually stabilize, develop, and become more stable.
