10 more businessmen in Hai Duong were proposed to be temporarily suspended from leaving the country due to tax debts.

According to the website of the Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department, from June 1 to 7, 2024, tax authorities in Hai Duong province have requested to temporarily suspend the exit of 10 more businessmen due to tax debts.

These are all legal representatives of businesses that still owe state taxes.

Previously, in March 2024, the number of legal representatives of enterprises who were requested by tax authorities of Hai Duong province to temporarily suspend their departure due to tax debts increased dramatically to 146 businessmen. In April 2024, this number decreased to 15 cases and in May 2024, there were 12 cases.

To increase the effectiveness of tax debt collection, tax authorities in Hai Duong province also proposed to implement many other resolute measures such as forcibly deducting accounts, freezing accounts; forcibly suspending the issuance of invoices; forcibly suspending the export and import of goods; requesting the revocation of business registration certificates; imposing administrative penalties, etc.
