At the conference, a representative of the Community Liaison Committee said that the total number of Vietnamese people in Israel is currently about 700 people, living scattered in different localities and diverse in subjects, including long-term residents, workers, agricultural trainees and some students.

The Community Liaison Committee was established 10 years ago, becoming a bridge between the representative agency and overseas Vietnamese, supporting the organization of many community events, donating to support compatriots in the country, maintaining Vietnamese language classes, and especially taking on the role of connecting and sharing information during times of war and conflict.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Ly Duc Trung affirmed that over the years, the Embassy has always considered accompanying the community as a central and continuous task. Although the community is still modest in number, it always shows a spirit of solidarity, especially the awareness of preserving cultural identity and looking back to the roots.

The establishment of the Vietnamese Association in Israel is a step forward, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and growth of the community. Hopefully, in the coming time, the Association will become a common home, a place that brings together all classes in the community, from long-term residents, workers to students and trainees. All join hands to preserve national culture, support each other in life, protect legitimate rights, and play an effective role as a bridge between the community and the Embassy.

The conference elected the Executive Committee of the Association of Vietnamese in Israel for the 2025-2030 term. On behalf of the Executive Committee, Ms. Hong Shuranys said that in the coming time, the Association will aim to improve professionalism and efficiency in organizing activities, increase support for citizen protection work and provide emergency assistance to people in the context of political instability and conflicts in the area.

The Vietnamese Association will be an organization that represents and protects the legitimate rights of the community, promotes cohesion, preserves Vietnamese culture and strengthens relations with the host country as well as with the homeland and country.

On the occasion of the Conference, the Executive Committee of the Vietnamese Association awarded financial support to three Vietnamese graduate students studying and researching at training institutions in Israel. Each grant is worth 4,200 USD, part of a support package worth a total of 42,000 USD.

This support package was formed based on voluntary contributions from Vietnamese organizations and individuals, proposed and encouraged during the visit of the Vietnamese Government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang to Israel on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
