In January, Vietnam welcomed more than 1.5 million international visitors, up 10.3% over the previous month and up 73.6% over the same period in 2023.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism): Vietnam attended the ASEAN Tourism Forum - ATF 2024 from January 24 to 26 in Vientiane, Laos. At conferences within the framework of the Forum, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh updated information on the tourism recovery situation, new visa policies for international visitors, and unique and attractive products and services of our country.
Vietnam has proposed many initiatives to enhance cooperation within ASEAN as well as with partners and international organizations to facilitate travel and tourism between countries; promote ASEAN culture and tourism around the world, organize ASEAN festivals; and promote digital transformation.
Within the framework of the Forum, Vietnam attended the Travex Fair, the largest tourism fair in the ASEAN region. The Vietnam tourism booth chaired by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism promoted, advertised, and introduced the image of tourism, the country, people, and culture of Vietnam.
Thereby contributing to promoting and enhancing the Vietnamese tourism brand "Vietnam - Timeless Charm" with outstanding values, key tourism products, conveying the message that Vietnam is a safe, friendly and attractive destination to ASEAN and international friends.
