Watercraft have not been allowed to resume traffic on 6 local rivers.

Currently, although the water level in many local rivers in Hai Duong has decreased, the clearance height of some bridges still does not ensure a safe distance, so the ban on water vehicles traveling through local rivers has not been lifted.

Previously, to ensure traffic safety in the context of rising flood waters, the Hai Duong Department of Transport announced restrictions on waterway traffic on local inland waterways. From 6 p.m. on September 10, all water transport vehicles are prohibited from traveling on local inland waterways, except for those serving flood and storm prevention and ensuring national security.

Hai Duong province has 6 locally managed rivers with a total length of 125km including Sat, Cuu Yen, Dinh Dao, Tu Ky, Cau Xe and Ghe rivers.

Previously, on September 16, the Inland Waterways Sub-Department of Region I announced the end of traffic restrictions, allowing water transport vehicles to pass through the navigation compartments of many bridges over central rivers in Hai Duong province.
