Bamboo Capital Group informs that former Chairman Nguyen Ho Nam was prosecuted

In a statement released on the morning of March 1, Bamboo Capital Group Corporation (stock code BCG) said that yesterday, February 28, the company was notified by a competent authority of the decision to initiate criminal proceedings and prosecute Mr. Nguyen Ho Nam.

Bamboo Capital said that the company's production and business activities continue to operate normally. Mr. Nguyen Ho Nam resigned from April 27, 2024 and no longer holds positions in the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board and Executive Board of the company.

The announcement also said that regarding issues related to the prosecution and Mr. Nguyen Ho Nam, the company will disclose information transparently, in accordance with the law, to protect the rights of shareholders.

Mr. Nguyen Ho Nam has held the position of Chairman of Bamboo Capita since February 2013. On April 26, 2024, he was elected to the Board of Directors of Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank) at the bank's General Meeting of Shareholders for the 2020 - 2025 term.

On the same day, April 26, 2024, Bamboo Capita also submitted a document to shareholders, the Board of Directors received the resignation letter of Mr. Nguyen Ho Nam as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

According to the 2024 Bank Management Report of the Board of Directors of Eximbank, Mr. Nguyen Ho Nam was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of Eximbank for the 7th term (2020 - 2025) from April 26, 2024 and is no longer a member of the Board of Directors of the bank from November 28, 2024.

Mr. Nam has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector, having held many management positions in enterprises in the fields of securities, finance and multi-industry companies.
