That was the concluding statement of Mr. Luu Van Ban, Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee, at the Workshop "Developing 5G technology infrastructure to promote investment attraction in the province's industrial parks" held on the afternoon of August 21.
On the afternoon of August 21, Viettel Hai Duong coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications and the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Hai Duong province to organize a workshop on "Developing 5G technology infrastructure to promote investment attraction in industrial parks of the province". This is a content within the cooperation agreement between the Provincial People's Committee and Viettel Group on digital transformation in the period of 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030. Comrade Luu Van Ban, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and directed.
Speaking at the workshop, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luu Van Ban requested the Department of Information and Communications and the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board to promptly survey the current situation in industrial parks. Within 10 days, the Department of Information and Communications will report to the Provincial People's Committee on the current situation of 3G and 4G network deployment in industrial parks. Thereby, assess the advantages and disadvantages, propose solutions to overcome them to facilitate the deployment of 5G network. The Department of Information and Communications must segment each area such as: industrial parks, industrial clusters, residential areas... each place needs how many stations to invest in telecommunications infrastructure, avoiding waste.
Determining that telecommunications infrastructure is indispensable in the infrastructure of industrial parks, industrial clusters, residential areas, and public places to attract investors to choose Hai Duong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luu Van Ban requested relevant agencies to coordinate in planning and land use locations to install 5G stations in industrial parks, then advise and report to the Provincial People's Committee. Relevant units should promptly complete state management procedures in accordance with legal procedures so that when starting to install telecommunications infrastructure, there will be no problems.
At the workshop, leaders of Viettel Telecom Corporation presented the advantages and necessity of installing 5G networks in industrial parks to ensure digital technology infrastructure for businesses and secondary investors to deploy 5G applications and build smart factories and smart industrial parks. Viettel's representative requested the Department of Information and Communications of Hai Duong to guide and appraise the planning of telecommunications infrastructure in industrial parks, and encourage the deployment of shared telecommunications infrastructure. Request the Hai Duong Industrial Park Management Board to encourage enterprises to invest in industrial park infrastructure to deploy shared telecommunications systems, creating favorable conditions for Viettel to deploy fiber optic cables and 5G infrastructure in industrial parks...
The units participating in the workshop discussed a number of contents: technology trends and the role of 5G, the 5GtoB ecosystem - services and solutions dedicated to businesses and organizations in the industrial sector, solutions for smart factories. Thereby helping to transform, increase productivity, and smarten factories from operations to management, security, and factory safety. Representatives of some industrial park infrastructure investors asked Viettel to support part of the cost when installing telecommunication stations in industrial parks.
At the workshop, the Department of Information and Communications, the Industrial Park Management Board and Viettel Hai Duong signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the deployment of fiber optic infrastructure and 5G infrastructure in the province's industrial parks.
