To ensure people's safety during the Lunar New Year 2025, Traffic Police nationwide have increased their forces to 100% on duty, making continuous efforts to ensure traffic safety for people. The Traffic Police Department has directed local Traffic Police to strengthen traffic guidance, regulation and inter-provincial coordination to ensure smooth traffic.
In particular, the Traffic Police of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City proactively coordinated with neighboring provinces to ensure smooth traffic on routes in and out of the city, especially routes from Hanoi to the southern provinces and from Ho Chi Minh City to the western provinces. Thanks to these efforts, despite the high volume of traffic, traffic remained orderly, safe and without congestion.
On January 29 and 30 (the first and second days of Tet), the streets of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City were deserted and clear, with vehicles moving smoothly. Despite the sparse number of vehicles, road users still strictly followed the laws on traffic order and safety.
