According to the provincial Center for Disease Control, on November 13, Hai Duong recorded the sharpest decrease in the number of new dengue fever cases in the past 2 months with 6 cases, down 16 cases compared to November 12 and 41 cases compared to November 11.
November 13 was also the second consecutive day that no new dengue fever outbreaks appeared in the province.
Dengue fever has been spreading widely in Hai Duong since mid-September. In early November, the province recorded dozens of cases every day, with some days reaching nearly 50 cases. Since November 12, the weather in Hai Duong has turned cold, and the number of dengue fever cases has also decreased sharply. This is consistent with the experts' assessment that dengue fever will only subside, and the number of new cases will gradually decrease when cold spells appear, limiting the range of activities and reproduction of mosquitoes.
From January 1 to November 13, Hai Duong recorded 1,300 cases of dengue fever, an increase of 755 cases compared to the same period last year. Currently, the province still has 24 active outbreaks.
