After a break for the National Assembly, Government and relevant agencies to absorb, revise and finalize draft laws and resolutions, today (November 20), the National Assembly entered the second phase of the 6th Session with many important contents.
In the morning, delegates discussed in the hall the results of monitoring the settlement of voters' petitions sent to the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly. Government members and relevant agencies and individuals explained and clarified a number of issues raised by National Assembly delegates.
The session will be broadcast live on Vietnam National Assembly Television.
In the afternoon, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the draft resolution on applying additional corporate income tax according to regulations against global tax base erosion. Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc explained and clarified a number of issues raised by National Assembly deputies.
Then, Minister Ho Duc Phoc, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the Report on reducing value-added tax. Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee Le Quang Manh presented the Report on examining the reduction of value-added tax.
Delegates continued to discuss in the hall about reducing value added tax. The Minister of Finance will explain and clarify a number of issues raised by National Assembly delegates.
In the second session of the 6th Session, the National Assembly will listen to the Government present and discuss the draft Law on National Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization; the draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Property Auction.
This week, the National Assembly also discussed in the hall the draft Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended); the draft Law on Social Insurance (amended); the draft Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; the draft Law on Roads; the draft Law on Archives (amended). The National Assembly will vote to pass: the Law on Management and Protection of National Defense Works and Military Zones; the Law on Telecommunications (amended); the Law on Water Resources (amended). The National Assembly also listened to reports and discussed in the hall the Report on Crime Prevention and Control and Law Violations in 2023; the 2023 Work Report of the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy; the 2023 Work Report of the People's Court; the 2023 Report on Enforcement of Judgments; the 2023 Report on Corruption Prevention and Control.
The National Assembly also listened to and discussed the Report on the results of receiving citizens, handling petitions and supervising the settlement of complaints and denunciations sent to the National Assembly in 2023; Report on the work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations in 2023. The 6th session of the 15th National Assembly is scheduled to close on November 29. Delegates will vote to pass the Resolution on questions and answers and the Resolution of the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly. Afterwards, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue will deliver a closing speech.
The closing session will be broadcast live on VTV1, Vietnam Television for voters and people to watch.
